Hi There! My name is Kale and I’m a 21 year old Kid-lit Illustrator based in Columbus, Ohio. I studied Illustration and Art Therapy at Columbus College of Art & Design, and Graduated with my BFA in Spring of 2024.
I have always had a fascination with the intersection of literacy, child development, and Illustration. I am excited to capture the magic in the mundane and help children tap into what it is to wonder and explore imaginations!
I have had the opportunity to have work published in 16 leveled reader, decodable, and educational kid-lit texts.
About Me
Academic and Art Honors
Because of my Involvement in the Columbus College of Art & Design Student Leadership community, I was asked to speak at Graduation and give an address on behalf of my peers. This experience was incredible to be a part of, and has really boosted my efforts to be a voice for others and stand in solidarity with my peers.
